Jerome, translator of the Latin Vulgate, called the Holy Land pilgrimage "the Fifth
Gospel." It is read as you walk the Land. Every other year students of Western
Seminary are invited to read "the Fifth Gospel" in the land of Israel! This is an
academic program provided through Western Seminary and the Jerusalem
University College.
The three-week course is titled "Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible."
Students earn four hours of academic credit transferable to Western Seminary. The
class includes lectures, map work, assignments and exams. Our next program is
May 16 - June 6, 2010. The projected cost for the program is about $4000 including
airfare, tuition, room and board and field trips. Students interested in further
information can contact me at Western Seminary (jclaney@westernseminary.edu).
